Response to Josh Noble's Blog re: Online Identity

below is a response to Josh Noble's blog, which can be found at this link to Josh's blog about the online world

(I chose to do this response as a blog instead of a comment so that I would have a working hyperlink to the youtube video I'm talking about)

Some people hide behind their online identities yet some people genuine about who they really are.
There is a tendency for people to create dual identities (eg cyber vs real life) and need to keep their identities separate from each other. I don’t really understand it but this guy below has quite a lot to say about it. When I was browsing through youtube and randomly looking up things about identity I came across this:

He’s pretty pissed off that google and youtube want users to use their real names instead of their chosen usernames. It even goes so far as to ask people the reason why they don’t want to use their real names. He goes through a big long list of different reasons why you can elect to not use your real name such as being a band, or a business, but he’s exceptionally sarcastic about it all. The main reason he doesn’t want to identify online using his real name is because he opposes the new world order and the government taking complete control of society. And he’s not alone, there plenty of other people talking about the same conspiracy theory and wanting to stick it to the man… (I personally think they’re all just a bit paranoid). They all feel very strongly about keeping their online personalities separate from their real life identities, but realistically I feel that our online identities should be reflective of our real life identity, it shouldn’t lead to a split in a psyche which causes multiple personalities.
